We arrived late tuesday night in Grenada and after going through immigration and customs (long lines) we finally made it outside and to our new home!.... There's not much to it, just a simple dorm room with a small kitchen bathroom closets desks and a bed, but it's actually nice and it's awesome to be living on campus cause it's so beautiful!! ( and lets not forget convenient) the next few days were followed with getting to know the campus, bus routes and general know how on the island. Everyone here is incredibly nice and helpful, lots of locals work on campus and can tell you anything you need to know. We visited a waterfall one day and learned the meaning of patience and that you have to have tons of it if you are going to live here!!( also that they drive like bats out of hell, mucho respect for our bus driver that day!)
The pictures don't even begin to do it justice, you just have to see it for yourself to realize the beauty and volcanic nature of the island. We even have an active underwater volcano near the island,as well as the fact that we are on a major tectonic plate and can get earthquakes! But all these things make it more interesting and truthfully I already feel at home, though a little lost in directions at times! I'm very ready to start classes and will soon come to hate them i know, but i have some fun classmates or at least a few and know that it will be great memories and make me a better Veterinarian!
