OK so it's SPRING BREAK!!! Thank goodness!! Something about the second year of vet school just makes you appreciate breaks from the monotony of more and more classes. I know our entire class is very much ready for summer and 2nd year to be over and done with. Not because it's hard, but because it's so boring and nothing but book work. All I'm going to say is that I'm so very happy I got into the Food Animal Techniques class this semester. Its very much a relief and reminds me why I decided to go into this profession. I've got some internships set up for this summer (which is my last summer break for the rest of my life) and I'm very excited about them! They are all in equine clinics in Texas and hopefully I'll learn alot! I really wish I could find a good mixed animal practice that does alot of cattle and small ruminant so that I could practice on that end too..... who knows maybe I will find one later. I definitely plan on taking some time off though and doing nothing during July except whatever I want to do!
Should be a fun summer and all I can think about is getting through these next 7 weeks and being done with 2nd year!!
Hi Lindsay,
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you are in OK! That's awesome. Grenada is fun but I'm sure schooling in OK will be a better gig. I looked up Livingston, NJ and it's about a 40 min drive from here. I don't know anything about it. Sorry, no help. We're not big fans of Jersey, it's crowded and expensive and freezing cold in the winter. But we live a little closer to the city. Anyway, good to hear from you!
